  • Do I qualify for food assistance?
    If you could benefit from food assistance, you qualify. Just show up – sites do not verify your income, residence, or photo ID.

    Do I need to bring anything with me?
    You do not need to bring anything with you. You may be asked to provide some basic information (names, birthdays, etc.) when you arrive at a food pantry. If you prefer to remain anonymous, that’s ok too!

    Do I need a photo ID?
    You do not need a photo ID.

    Will accessing free food affect my housing, SNAP, or other government benefits?
    No, it will not. Food pantries are non-profit agencies – free food does not affect your government benefits.

    Will accessing free food affect my immigration status?
    No, it will not. We do not share information with US Citizen and Immigration Services. If you prefer to remain anonymous, that’s ok too!

    Can I get food anonymously?
    Yes, you can get food anonymously. Just let the pantry know you wish to stay anonymous.

    How old do I have to be?
    Any age! Anyone is able to pick up food.

    What if I do not have a permanent address?
    Not a problem! You can go to any food pantry near you!

    Do I need to bring proof of income?
    No, you do not need to bring any paperwork with you! You may be asked to provide some basic information (names, birthdays, etc.) when you arrive at a food pantry.

    Can I use my Clark County Food Bank Client ID card at other pantries?
    The Clark County Food Bank card is used at: Clark County Food Bank Drive-Thru, Food Bank Fresh, school pantries, and any Community Kitchen location. Other food pantries may have their own card for you to use.

    We recommend visiting the food pantry that is closest to you! Use the map at the top of this page to see which sites are in your neighborhood.

    Can a friend or family member pick up food for me?
    Yes, a friend or family member can pick up food for you. They may be asked some basic information, like names and birthdays of your household members. It would be helpful if they brought your information with them.

    Do you deliver?
    We recommend asking a friend or family member to pick up for you! If they are unable to, Clark County Food Bank has volunteers who are able to deliver a box of shelf-stable food to those who are unable to leave their homes or who lack transportation to a food pantry.     Can I go to more than one food pantry?
    Yes! You can go to as many sites as you want.

    How often can I go to each food pantry?
    Every location is a little bit different. We recommend asking the site.

    Do I need to arrive early?
    You do not need to arrive before a site opens. Please plan to be at a food pantry at least 15 minutes before they close. That will give you enough time to pick up food.

    What do I do when I get there?
    Just say hello to the first volunteer or staff member you see. They will check you in and answer any questions!

    How much food will I get?
    A typical food box provides your family with enough food for 3-5 days.

  • Is there pet-food at a food pantry?
    Sometimes pet food is donated to the food bank! It is always worth asking a volunteer to see if they have any in stock.

    Can I find baby formula at a food pantry?
    Sometimes baby formula is donated to the food bank! It is always worth asking a volunteer to see if they have any in stock.

    Can I pick up diapers at a food pantry?
    Battle Ground Adventist Community Services has a diaper bank! They are the best site to check if you are looking for diapers.

    What other resources are there?
    You will always be offered food at a food pantry! Some sites also offer other resources, like clothes, rental assistance, and even diapers. A few great sites to check in with about non-food resources are: The Salvation Army, St. Vincent de Paul, Inter-faith Treasure House, Battleground Adventist Community Services, and Clark County Adventist Community Services.
